I know they're only 2 dark specks but Sunspots are so few & far between these days so I will take anything.
Taken today through Baader white light filter, ED80, 2x barlow and SPC900nc. Gee...I recken its so much harder to focus during the day than the night. Have to throw my Lightbridge shrould over my head & laptop.

Good work, Vincent.
I find it a bit more difficult during the day too. It's hard to get good contrast on the screen to see what's happening.

Don't complain, Vincent, this is a nice picture - and you had the chance to see the spots on your own . I haven't even seen them up to now.
Check out this guy (http://www.astrotreff.de/upload/Caro/20090919/IMGP6263.JPG), he truly knows how to protect himself from the sun!

I use a 40L grey plastic tub on a garden table to hold the laptop; drape a old dark sheet over the top and it stops the backlight. Works very well.

Thanks guys. This is a composite rendering of the same sunspots with a wider shot taken with Canon 400d prime focus ED80. I like this one better.

There aint much more to get, yoo have the umbra, penumbra and granulation around the spots. I know us solar folk are getting all excited about these but theyre really not that big as spots/Active Regions go. Weve just been starved for so long. So getting any detail is a sucess!

Lovely work Vincent.
It's nice to see some activity on ol' Sol again.
