I wonder if a UV-IR block filter might improve the shot?
As for colour, I don't think there's suppose to be much colour for Venus should there?

thought it should be a bit more yellow - as per that part of the limb.

I still like the image as is. I've never imaged Venus. I've read in other threads that people use stop down masks over the scope to cut some of the glare but not to sure.

there is one one display at Cape Canaveral - it is simply awesome :) You stand next to the stage 1 motors (it is on its side) - and you just can't imagine anything that big flying. Oh to ride one of those beasts! From the Earth to the Moon has some great Saturn5 imagery :)
