Without stating the obvious for those that live in the area, the dust cloud seems to be crossing the coast somewhere around Batemans Bay and stretching back over toward Canberra and beyond.

Here's another dust storm picture. The two islands near the top right are north and south stradbroke islands I believe.

If you've not been on the modis site Jeanette have a good look around there are some fantastic satellite images there.

If you're logged out, or choose not to use the enhanced image browser, then when you click on an attachment, it opens in a popup and the filename shows in the bottom left.

The filename may say Sydney, but it's certainly not near the middle of Sydney.

Amazing pics though.

:rolleyes: That's because it's a crop of the very bottom left of the original image, to show you the text.

What do you want: to see the text or to see the duststorm??? One thing at a time:lol:

As for it not being Sydney...you'll need to take that up with whomever labelled the image.
