How do i stop a avi auto playing in windoze mp v10

hi all


ive got a irritating little problem with windoze xp mediaplayer version 10

everytime i load a couple of movie clips it start to play them automatically

i want to start them myself by pushing the play button once ive got them sorted does anyone know how to disable this annoying little problem ?

ive had a look around the tools option ect ect cant seem to find em :(

To change the file types the Player plays automatically
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the File Types tab.
Do the following:
Select the check box for each file type that you want the Player to play automatically when you double-click a file on your computer or in a shared folder on a network (or in the case of CDs or DVDs, when you insert them into your computer).
Clear the check box for each file type that you do not want the Player to play automatically.
Notes

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure.
If your version of the Windows operating system supports AutoPlay, your AutoPlay settings may affect your Player file types settings. For more information about AutoPlay, see Windows Help.
If you install other multimedia playback programs on your computer, they may interfere with your Player file types settings. For more information about setting file type ownership in other multimedia playback programs, see the documentation that came with those programs.
Most of the listed file types are selected by default.

i forgot to mention i allso use different players as well iam going to try youre fix now thanks

Just make sure that when the other players are installed/selected, you do not make it? the default, that plays everything....... know what I mean? You stipulate what type of filed to play. :D L.
