This recent image by the new Hubble camera is simply breathtaking and humbling. How far ahead of his time was that "man of the century" Albert bloke!!:eyepop:

I laugh at those people who say to us astro types "but how do they know?"...here it is in..?..blue and yellow?

He was smart, yes. Had a good imagination and an IQ of 160, yes. But it's about time people stop looking upon him as if he is the "be all and end all" of physics. He wasn't as smart as what a lot of people like to think he was. Quantum Physics pretty much eluded him...he did not like it.
Other than that, that is a pretty spic image!!:D

If you mean Albert Einstein, then you should mention his former wife Mileva Maric, serbian mathematician too.
Many don't know the reason why he gave all the money from Nobel Price to Mileva Maric. No, it was not just 'cos they had two kids together.

Great image.
So has any amateur been able to image any gravitaional lensed arcs?
What a challenge!

No...she was a better mathematician than he was and was probably the one that helped him with Relativity (she may have done the math, initially).

Actually it was Marcel Grossmann.

Mileva Maric's contribution to GR is highly debatable.
