Sure looks like it will!
Just saw this posted elsewhere - current Adelaide radar.
Now we do know that the scale does go all the way to the top!

Looks like Adelaide is gonna get some fantastic storms.
But I'm 1000% sure it will all flatten out into boring old stupid lame rain areas by the time it gets to cold cloudy boring old Melbourne :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
Go to the Weatherzone satpics and watch it all go to hell as it hits cold and cloudy Victoria :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:
Well it certainly wasn't boring old stupid lame rain here tonight. We just recieved 30mm in 3 hours as the Adelaide front passed over.
We were treated to a massive thunderstorm and light show, the lightning was that bright it was lighting up the paddocks like daylight and the dam has gone from empty to overflowing in the same period of time.
The water tank didn't miss out either, that recieved nearly 4000 litres in the same time as well.
Cheers

Crikey guys, it has been raining in Perth for the last 18 days straight :mad2:. There was a clear day between that and the last bout of rain. I have not seen the stars this winter :(.

The garden is under water at the moment Stephen but the frogs are happy. It's deafening out there with all there chirping.

Well, what a surprise, NSW and Sydney got all the heat and lightning as per bloody usual :mad2: while down here in Antarctica we got all the excitement of slate-grey overcast with cold boring lame drizzle. Typical  "Amazing" how the storms went straight from Adelaide to Sydney. What a crappy system, worst in history
The weather is just as crap down here, absolutely no clear skies , just constant bloody cloud :mad2: I got probably 3-4 clear nights in as many months
At least there is no bloody dust coating the Telescope's mirrors like there is in Sydney atm.

I've seen a few like that in QLD over summer, but nothing like that from Buckland Park... and I make them! Thanks Erik!

was that radar from monday, i was watching it at the time, i remember it being more impressive than that? gawd i love radar, and boy dont the tradies find that bliddy handy! they dont move an inch without consulting the radar these days, usually on their phones as well, specially roofers et al .. cant imagine what it was like before buckland was up and running - primitive!
yeh monday was very biblical looking weather, i thought i saw a hundred funnels trying to form in some of those under clouds! - only got 30mm max out of it i think
yep ad's has been fortunate with rain this year, i think we actually are on target for average rainfall or better still! - anyway everyones sick of their houses cracking up from the drought by now

There wasn't that much rain in it. I think Adelaide got 25mm and I got 22mm for the day. It belted down for a while. Not really all that windy despite weather warnings.
Thus far this year I have got 470mm of rain and the average for Adelaide plains is 600mm. I am in the hills and so rainfall is higher here. I think our average is somewhere around 750mm. It has got to rain 300mm in the next 3 months to make average. MMM, can't see that happening.
The rain was welcome though and it has helped a lot of the farmers. Although Elliston on the far west coast copped a beating and there looks like 2 million dollars crop damage.
Bring on the sunshine now, nice sunspots looking at us now.

upon reflection (geddit geddit!!? bwahahhaha i crack myself up! ...errr hmmm) that black looking section in the image Erick is probably the hailstorm (that paul is referring to in crop damage) that hit eyre peninsular on monday (if that is from monday which it seems to be) they had golf ball sized hail in some places there i think..

Could that black blob have been raised dust? If it was rain, that is amazing for a reflectivity image... sometimes you see a little bit of black, but rarely a big blob like that.
