Hi,

Not so long ago i was observing through my 130 mm reflector at jupiter when i thought i'd try and take a photo of it.

equipment- 130 mm reflector
15 mm ep with 2x barlow
panasonic digital cam (not dslr)

technique-what i did was put the cam against the ep and took a video ( very shaky) .Then i paused at a point were it looked good and saved that frame.

tried registax but the video was to shaky.

hope you like it

well done, orestis. :thumbsup:Okay, it's not as good as many others posted on this and other forums, but who cares! It proves what you can do with a basic setup, and work on this first image to get better.

Registax will process a planetary image which moves across the field of view without using any form of tracking, so that could be your next goal! I would also advise that you do try the adapter that Carl has suggested.

Keep posting your progress!

that camera adapter would be perfect.
