Philips TouUcam Pro II

I have a 2-3 year old (maybe older) Philips TouUcam Pro II that I have used several times for astro-imaging in the past. No problems getting and stacking the images but...I've lost the CD and I need to install it on my new laptop. I now have a Mac Book Pro but I also run a MS-XP, which I assume is the only environment this old web cam will run on. Any solutions for getting the CD or are the old drivers all I need and if so, how do I get them? I am reactivating it so I can try and catch the LCROSS crash on the Moon on Oct. 9. I will be in the Western US and have dark skies. Many thanks for any assistance.

Hi spacerox,

My suggestion is to download and install MacCam 0.9.2 ( http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/downloads.html ).
It is free and it makes work lots of webcam plugged to your Mac without the use of specific drivers.
The Philips TouUcam Pro II is listed within those supported.

If your cam works correctly under OS X you may think to get IGlasses 2.
It is a wonderful small application that will improve on fly the quality image gathered from your webcam (like contrast, saturation, white balance, sharpness, etc.) and can be integrated with Photo Boot.
