SORRY, SOLD: I'm putting my 3 month old (Purchased new late-June this year) SW HEQ5-Pro mount up for grabs at $1200.00 ONO, (approx $300 under best discounted new price) plus add shipping if not a pick-up sale. (See footnotes) The item is located in Brisbane's southern suburbs. I found the well constructed HEQ5 effortlessly handled an 8" SCT plus guide scope and digital imagers with close to the rock solid stability of my much loved heavier EQ6-Pro which I have semi-permantly set up in my back yard. I bought the HEQ5-Pro as a proven, solid but but more portable mount for dark-sky use, but my family situation has now changed, putting the brakes on travel to dark sky sites for the time being.

The HEQ-5's Synscan controller has the latest SW Synscan firmware update and everything is obviously "as-new" and unmarked. There is a built-in polar scope with illuminated reticule catering for southern hemisphere. The tripod's 1.75 inch SS legs are adjustable for 97-121cm height. The mount head adds another 35cm.
All up weight without the 2x5.1kg counter-weights is 15.6kg.

Head has auto-guider port and synscan paddle has port for alternative RS232 interface with PC for ASCOM compliant observatory software control.

If shipping is involved in the sale, there will be two packages, approx 13kg & 19kg, or it could be split up into 3 packages 13kg, 9kg & 14kg.

Payment to be by direct bank deposit or EFT with funds cleared before shipping, or by cash if direct pick-up.
