Had a brief window of opportunity last night around 11.30 to go for Mars .It was disappointing it was reasonably clear towards the evening and then thin and heavy cloud kept coming from the NW to SE throughout the night . The images gained where a rushed 20 minute effort , very strange conditions could make out snappy surface features through the eyepiece and monitor which i wouldn't suspect with the prevailing winds moving the cloud banks through pretty swiftly.Very frustrating but nonetheless rewarding :P Both images through the LPI and one using a 2x powermate , had a go with a toUcam using a 15mm plossl through eyepiece projection but the weather conspired to upset the effort .

Not bad beren,

You can see the sphere of Mars not just a flat image, more like a marble effect.

Nice work.

Great shot there!

Who needs a toUcam when you have an LPI anyways :)
