Curiosity got the better of me and I looked inside the focuser and I saw a little red piece of plastic which had 'HiWin' written on it. I did a quick google search and sure enough, HiWin make Linear Guideways (http://www.hiwin.com/html/lg/index.html) plus some other neat looking products.
