Nothing better to do (at least it kept me off the streets), here is the rarely imaged NGC 2626.
A nice combination of emission, reflection and dark nebulae.

Thanks Javier.
Much appreciated.

Nice one Steven and a rare treat!
Not familiar at all with this one.
In fact, there is very little real data on the nebula. Unknown distance and no visual magnitude. Central star is magnitude 10. Revised NGC Catalog gives its dimensions as 5x5 arcminutes.

Lovely image Steve. I'll say it's rarely imaged, yours is the only one I've seen. Captured and processed very nicely too.

Thank you Greg.
Hi Mike.
I don't think it qualifies as there is not enough dust.
Thanks Tom,
Perhaps you should consider a wide field image of the region.
Doug,
It's surprising it's not a common object for imaging. NGC 2626 is part of a much larger complex so it should appeal for both narrow and wide field imaging.
Thanks Rob.
Perhaps being overshadowed by other objects in Vela has made this a rather anonymous object.
Clear skies to all.

Steven,
That is beautiful like an oil painting. Another object I've never heard of or seen before.
What causes the vertical spikes on the bright stars?
Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks Frank.
Thanks Humayun,
The vertical spikes are caused by pixel blooming. The software used to clean it up wasn't able to completely remove the blooms.
