Some reasonable seeing for a short while last night, here is an image showing the GRS and the many happenings around this side of the planet.
The remains of the impact are still visible, coming into view top right.

regards, Bird

Hey, now that is a Rippa, huge, sharp and oozing detail. I have never seen the blue line within the GRS before.

Thanks Anthony.

Top of the class.

Anthony, what a knockout image.

It is time to go for the superlatives, well I would, but what ever I come up with would fall short of describing this effort.

Bird, you are in a class of your own friend, the air must be pretty thin up there. A breathtaking image indeed.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks guys, as we know seeing is king... just keep hoping for more of it.

Lester, that blue arc inside the GRS has shown up in a few recent images, I don't know if it's a permanent or temporary feature...

cheers, Bird

ps fixed the image, I think it was a bit too green :-)

Wow!

That's just amazing Anthony. Ten minutes staring at the image, I dare-say I still haven't taken in all the detail. Excellent work!

Absolutely superb image. I would suggest the seeing was a little better than just reasonable. The level of detail is great, so much to peer at in this image. One of the best of this season from the Southern hemisphere.

Oh man!

Anthony, you certainly deserve the line next to my Avatar,

That is awesome.....

On a side note, does anyone else think the GRS is getting smaller? It seems to me (and my underdeveloped photographic memory) to be shrinking based on previous pics from a while ago...

Cheers

Chris
