Tricky getting those in the same field of view. Great stuff.
Nicely done Jeanette. I bet I know what you are going to be shooting on the weekend. ;)

thats another good image JJJ, and not something thats rarely framed as nicely as this. i am guessing the glow on the bottom left is civilisation?
you gonna add more to this?

Yes, more data on the way.
The gradient is from Caboolture.
I only used curves and levels on it so far.
Not enough data to push it further.
The image lost a fair bit of resolution when it was compressed. But you get that.

I like it, and first time I have seen both galaxies in the same FOV. Nice colour too.
All the best for more.

It's also interesting to know that the separation between the two, as you see there, is actually about 750kly in physical distance.

Amazing, I'll have to write a little blurb at the bottom of the image so I won't forget.

M33 is probably a part of the M31 subgroup...i.e. it orbits M31. Although it has a couple of satellites of it's own, notably LGS3 and around 30-50 globs.

Jeanette,
Sorry I missed this one -- catching up on old threads.
Fantastic image. I, too, haven't seen both in the same field of view before. Gives me ideas to try something similar.
It's also great to know that both galaxies are somewhat equidistant from the bright star in the middle. Will make finding them a touch easier.
Thanks!
Regards,
Humayun
