I am using live view to view the planets but the image is always saturated. How can I adjust the exposure to show more detail. I have tried changing the camera exposure setting in Remote Capture and Images Plus but this has no effect. I think I might have to change one the built in camera functions?

Rob,

From memory, exit LiveView, change aperture and/or shutter speed, and re-enter LiveView.

Are you able to hook it up to a lappie and control it via EOS Utility??

Also, are you referring to saturation or over-exposure?

From memory...the brightness of the image can still be controlled in Live View if you have exposure simulation activated and have the histogram activated in the Live View window.

You can still make adjustments using the rear and thumbwheels, certainly in Manual mode.

I find changing ISO makes a difference, might have to drop it lower.
