Here's another from the abyss. I've avoided it as there were some really nasty red edges to the stars. Not sure why, could be the smokey skies that night.
Canon 20D & 135mm @ f/2.5, ISO800, 14X180 sec shots. ICNR
Longer subs next time. Don't know why I only went for 180 Sec :shrug:
Its not the full field, there was a nasty gradient in there (I think I was shooting over h0ughy at the time. ;) :lol: :poke: Oh not light pollution....venting steam. :eyepop: ) so rather than muck around with dealing with it over the whole frame I took the axe to it. ;)
It looks far over processed and noisier here than on the full image.

Paul, no matter what excuses you make, for your "not very apparent" shortcummings, its still a very, very nice image, and i for one would be well pleased if it was mine.

A great image considering that the object stays low to horizon in Aust maybe a tad too much magenta but Id be proud if it were my image.

Very nice Paul, I wish it was imagable from down here but alas, no.
Doesn't look to bad at all. May even be some JPG artifacts from the compression.
