Hi, the last time I posted the Lagoon I didnt manage to the get whole nebula in the frame. I purchased a WO 0.8x reducer for the ED80 and shot it again!

Managed to get the majority of the nebula in this time.

Its DSI III Pro LRGB 52 28 28 28 min guided.

Nice image Paul. The DSI III seems to be working out well for you.

Thanks Marc, Mark, David and Peter. Yes, I have been happy with the DSI III pro to date. I was glad to get the Lagoon in while I could.

Paul,

Great going! Did you notice a huge difference in your DSI images once you stuck the 0.8x flattener/reducer on the ED80? I'm yet to get one for my ZenithStar FD80.

Thanks Humayun. Yes the WO x0.8 allowed the whole Lagoon to fit on the 2/3" chip. It also sharpened up the image - especially the outer stars. I am recently imaging the Helix (will post once I get some RGB) without the 0.8 flattener and I can already tell the difference!
I would recommend the WO x0.8 flattener II. BTW your last image on M42 was spectacular!
