REDUCED FURTHER.....I have a Bintel 32mm GS Super Plossl. Originally bought for $99AUD and I am willing to part with it for more than half price at $40AUD postage included. This one is fully multicoated but came with some barrel rattle and the eye lens coating is a little bit spotty (does not affect the views).

REDUCED FURTHER......Also I have after much deliberation finally decided to part with my modified (i.e. improved) Orion Shorty 2x barlow for a mere $40AUD postage included. Lens edges have been blackened. Comes with two caps and is in good condition. {PENDING THANKS KEN!}

Note that this is the final reduction for both pieces and if it is not sold, I will be keeping them. Reason for sales is raising dosh to fund a larger scope :)

Cheers,
Darren

Yes maybe interested in the barlow. I already have 1.25" 25mm plossyl so 32mm probably overkill. What do you mean by lens edges being blackened (excuse ignorance).

Hi Mike,

Had another expression of interest for the barlow on Friday night so you are second in line for it. If the deal falls through I will let you know. Anyway by saying lens edges blackened, I mean the lenses have been removed and have been blackened with black ink. This greatly increases the contrast as most chinese optics do not come with their lens edges darkened. It does make a difference as the contrast is improved and there is no flaring :) As for the 32mm Plossl, it is still available if anyone wants it. This has the largest true field of view in a 1.25" format....

Yes I'll definitely liberate the barlow from you if it becomes available.

Another question if I combine a 2 x barlow with your 32mm does that make it effectively 16mm. Does the wide angle translate to bigger field of view in conjunction with the barlow.

Hi Mike,

I will let you know when Ken replies. As it stands he has not replied with a final offer to purchase. With your question, I am not sure what you mean. The FOV would still be the same but the eye relieve will be extended.

Cheers,
Darren

If a barlow is used it effectively 1/2's the app.fov. :shrug: Get a bit more e/r. :D L.

That's right. I forgot to take into account the 2x amplifying effect :)
