View Full Version here: : A quick Jupiter red channel on a good night
I won't have time to work up a full RGB image tonight because of the need for some shut-eye ahead of another 3am rise tomorrow...but the quick and dirty process I did of a randomly chosen red channel looks promising:)
One of the best nights I've seen here for a while. Not spectacular...but I'll take it!

Looks promising Matt,
I can relate to the need for sleep catching up, been doing a lot of imaging lately myself.
Matt, I really am most impressed with the planetary images that come out of the C 9.25. When you look around the major forums here and overseas the work done with the C 9.25 is very impressive, I love the resolution and image scale these scopes seem to regularly produce.
Regards
Trevor
They're a fune unit, Trevor, that's for sure.
I sometimes miss having a newt, but there are positive and negatives about all scopes.
As you'd know, there's no such thing as one scope which is excellent at everything. It all comes down to what you want to do.
As an imaging scope, the C9.25 is terrific. I'm lucky I also appear to have a very nice example. My optics are terrific. It's always a bit of a lottery with mass produced instruments.
I can't believe I'm thinking about offloading it, but there you go.
