Yes I think Mark's entry is very clever, "A cold Melbourne September morning" - the feeling and atmosphere that the lack of colour invokes is quite powerful.

I've deleted Mr B's comment since we want to keep that thread only for entries and not for comments on other entries.

I almost didn't get a chance to see it as I waited for about 2 hours (if not more) outside the church waiting to get in as the queue was that long. I think I got in about 20 minutes before closing time. I missed out on Notre Dame. Perhaps next time. :)

Go for it! I'll be giving it another go.
It's probably not as frustrating as I experienced.
My 300D was playing up on me, couldn't change the white ballance settings(stuck on incandescent) as some of the buttons aren't working, so I changed to the PowerShot.
PowerShot was giving me focus issues(has been dropped a few times) and I was losing my lighting as the sun kept coming and going.
Oh yeah, and bubbles popping :)

Get prepared and things should go smoothly. And try avoiding modded/dropped camera's ;)

A couple of tips....
Sugar apparently slows down the amount of time it takes for bubbles to pop... tho I didn't realy notice much difference... if any.
Blow on the bubbles to get the patterns moving.
You want a VERY diffuse light source... I used some white acrylic sheet(same as used on those X-Ray viewing board things in the movies) with direct sun shining on it. Anything like a large white bed sheet should do.
Black background... I was blowing the bubbles on a black plastic bin liner.
Edit: Erm.. ignore my tip on diffuse lighting, just noticed your thread on "Illuminated Objects"!

You don't need a huge amount of zoom, posted a full frame shot to give an idea of scale, notice the two reflections of the lens ;)
