One of the on going projects I have at home is concreting pathways around the extensions to the house (and to the obs;)). I've already got a fair bit of them done, but there's a few days work left to finish them. We had a bit of break from it over winter, but I'm keen to get it done now so that I can top dress around them and establish lawns during spring...
So today we completed a section of pathway from the new path along side the new sun room, to the old concrete area outside the mud room. Nice curved path:thumbsup::).
I had just finished pouring and screeding, and was about the start washing up while I waited for it to go off enough to finish it, when our dog Billy decides "Beauty! A new path! I'll test it out... oh, this is good!"
He then proceeds to parade his new concrete socks around the paved patio which Kiara was in the process of washing the floor! Lot's of comment from Kiara (and maybe a little bit from me too:P), but no biggie, the concrete was fresh so I smoothed it over and Kiara washed the patio floor again...
So this arvo I was working down the back cutting a up a tree that fell a couple of weekends ago. It'll make good firewood next year. When I get back to the house, Lyn sends Billy out to meet me with a note stuck under his collar. It's was allegedly written by him, apologising for walking on my new concrete:eyepop:.
Oh, yeah... two complete sets of track up and down the new path! Of course by this time its too late to smooth it over...
Well I suppose if he though it was OK to walk on while it was wet, it must've been superb when it was firm!:P:lol:
I'm just glad I'm not a contractor doing this job for someone else! I'm not about to rip up the path for the sake of a few dog prints. I can live with it!:whistle: Broom and paw print finish... don't tell any one, they'll all want one!
