Thanks Ron, very interesting. I discovered NGC 4945 the other day with my new scope, it's my first spiral! I was actually looking for Centaurus A but you can't win them all, especially when you're learning :lol:

Well Done Anthony:)you will find that NGC4945 is one of the easiest galaxies to find in the "Southern Sky"
In time you will find lots of little tricks to use in your quest for "Deep Sky" objects:thumbsup:

This is of great interest as this is one of my favourite southern galaxy.

Hi Jeanette,
I imaged this galaxy a little while ago looking to find the source of the light blooms I was seeing in my RC. This shot was taken with an f/5 newtonian like your own. You might like it.
