Hi All,
Have put together a polar projection animation from data captured in good seeing from August 17th. The polar projections were done in WinJupos 8.0.13.
This animation represents just under 3 hrs of rotation and shows the GRS and the Wesley Impact from a very different perspective.

Thanks for looking.

Trev,
that is awesome!
Great clarity in the data obviously contributed to how
well this turned out!

Very nice work Trev, definitely presents a different perspective.
I feel the animation is a little too fast but it's great nonetheless.

Quick in the learning process Trev.
very good tho.
I feel that you cant wait for Saturn to grace our skies once again so you can try it out again.
Cheers Kev.

Thanks David, a fair bit of trial and error but I am pretty pleased with my first attempt at polar projection.
Thanks Troy, it was your effort at one of these that spurred me on to have a go.
Thanks Lester, it really is a totally different perspective.
Thanks Steve, yes, the data for this particular night was very good for the duration of the imaging session.
Thanks Mike, when I was putting the animation together I did try it with different timing's, it is a pretty subjective exercise. All of the animations I have previously posted were .2 sec / frame as is this one. Michel has also commented that it would be better to slow them down a bit and have a longer pause before they replay, so that the start point is better defined, however the software I am using does not allow for any adjustment for a pause before replaying, it just loops it.
Yep Kev, Saturn will always be my favorite target.

Trev,
just put a few more last frames one after the other and this becomes
your pause.

Thanks Steve, yep, that would work.
Top idea, appreciate the tip.

No worries Trev,
I do stuff this way because I haven't discovered the work around
yet either :)
My way, of course, adds unnecessary frames and extra size
to the anim...so it's not the best solution.
I only use PSP Animation Wshop so far:shrug:

Hi All,
This is the same animation as posted at the start of this thread but slowed down a bit and with a pause after each run through thanks to Steve's advice on adding more copies of, in this instance, the first frame, to achieve a pause and accurately define the starting point of the animation. Thanks Steve.
