Hi all,

I have been lurking around on this site for a while now after purchasing a telescope last year. How I wish I had seen this site before I did that :lol:

I have a Tasco Luminova 4.5" Newtonion which isnt too bad for basic viewing but I am quickly building a wish list of what I want for the future.

Viewing from Brisbane and my end aim with Astronomy is to get right into DSO astrophotography so I have a long way to go based on what I currently have.

Anyway, just thought I would drop in and say hi.

Thank you all for the greetings. I have been avidly reading all posts and absorbing as much as I can. Couple of things that are becoming evident to me. The astro photo rig is a long way off and I think I will have more luck obtaining a decent tripod and eye pieces for my current rig. The family financial controller may grant her divine blessing for these shortly.

Thanks as well for the invite to the Brisbane gathering Darren as I am keen to get together with others who I can learn off (read bug for hints). ICQ details are under my name if you want to get in touch. If there is no answer, my wife or kids are on the system.
