National Geographic - The Universe Map.jpg JPEG 6000x3888 8-bit DirectClass
Almost all the links end up at a Linux/security unfriendly site. The torrents point at a rar archive.

Why would you use a proprietary archiver to produce 2% compression on a jpeg?

Nice. Thanks Bert. Its nice to visualise directions and distances for DSOs. Still surprisingly hard to find good representations even with all the computer power we have now. Most software still seems to treat the sky like a dome.
Anyone know if this is going to be a pull-out in the next NatGeo mag?
Would save me some downloading. (dial-up)

Since the date on the jpeg is 2007/07/03, I'd be surprised.
Ah, thanks Andrew.
Have been a subscriber for decades, never got this as a poster though
Gonna have to download it.

As soon as I saw that picture I thought why are they publishing this again?
I thought there must have been some new information, but on perusal all seemed the same as I remembered it:D
I did not check the date:(
