I attended Qld Astrofest last weekend (blowout) and seen a new Pegasus telescope pier that was on display. It was a ripper of a unit.:eyepop:
Not sure who was selling it but I would like to get one. Can anyone point me in the right direction of who I need to speak to or where I can check this out to get one of these puppies?:help:

Design your own and have it fabricated by a local steel fab shop .... it'll save you hundreds of dollars .

Just use concrete or steel pipe for sewage and fill it with concrete.. you will save even more.

Forget the concrete. In case you need to move it. Just fill the pipe with sand and pack it down.

Went into Sirius today and finally checked out the new pegasus piers. They really are trick, not only have they got an internal tube for cabling that goes from top to bottom but they apparently are designed to take sand as well. (Concrete for you Bojan!) :))
Ron tells me that the normal piers have a hardened chrome steel top levelling plate but the one on display is actually 316 polished stainless and is a special and for normal price!! I'm talking to the handbrake now for a special loan!
A special prayer for me fellas?

Wish you luck with the handbrake mate .
I got a pier from someone else, very happy with it but the stainless top will make for a trick look and for the same price go for it and it will compliment the scope. If Ron had these ones in stock 2 months ago while building my observatory I probally would have got one.
You are close by you are welcome to drop in to see the pier I got to compare sometime, shoot me a PM ;).
Matt.
