This was taken in beautiful dark skies of qld at astrofest 300min iso 800 using the 10"newtonian , processed in photoshop

Thanks Humayun you right about the 300mi considering the night before i shot the same thing all in jpeg files,

Nice job big Al :thumbsup:

I can't help but think there must be more info lurking in there :shrug:, 300min under dark skies should show the outer details..at least a bit even with a DSLR :confuse3:

Oh and my wife works for a very educated and talented Pollie, the idea that they do nothing is absolutely a myth from my experience, fun to say (easy even) but in reality many of them just about kill themselves (and my wife) trying to do their job.

Mike you are probably right about more data i did not do a lot of proccessing on this shot i will give it more and see what happens,

Al graciously tossed his jpegs my way (in disgust) and here's my interpretation of his Dumb Bell. :)
1 hour and 35 minutes over 18 frames.
Processed in Photoshop.
