Hi everyone. I was out imaging at home near Ipswich Queensland on Saturday 22nd August (last Saturday night). I was playing with my Canon 40d at prime focus on a Skywatcher 8 inch reflector. I gave up pretty early that night after taking a few prime focus shots of Jupiter and a few wide fields. When viewing the pictures the next day I found the following image. I did go to Neptune once and I think I may have taken a photo. But this image does not seem possible to me with such limited methods, but the stars in the photo when I went to Stellarium matched Neptune. It is a 30sec ISO1250 exposure untouched apart from the basic night scene option filter in Noiseware. Can anyone explain?? STEVE.
