It hit mid-twenties down here but it's cooling off a bit now. Still it's very warm for August!

At this moment, it's 36 in the shade outside.
Which is pretty warm for Summer, but words cannot express how I feel about this being a Winter temperature.
WTF's going on??????

Yep. Pretty crazy stuff.

The big question now is: how much of a portent of a long hot summer is a day like this?

I read reports the other day that we're in for a stinker:sadeyes:

Absolutely none. Hot days in winter/springs don't necessarily translate into hot summers. This is often the case in Sydney for example, they tend to get hot days with northwesterly winds in spring and come summer onshore NE'lys dominate.

Reached 36C here today. Extreme fire danger out this way. The wind is so strong here the scope won't stay still, and did someone say dry (probably not) it's so dry I don't think I have drunk so much water in my life the wind is just sucking up all the moisture it can. Rumour is it will cool down Wednesday or Thursday let's hope so anyway.
