Tomorrow evening, i have noticed that venus and m19 are very close 1/2 degree???

This happens at around 9.30pm by my reckoning with starry night pro.

Would it be easy to image???

It should fit in my 40mm eyepiece ie 30x

Hey it finally looking good for some observing here tonight, but then again it was the same last night and it ended up clouding in here on the north coast. Haven't been able to have a good crack at the sky for a few weeks now : (

But if it stays ok I'll definitely stop by Venus and M19

 Sorry Davo,

Tried to get one but no go tonight, cloud stuffed things up.

I hope to have a go tomorrow night while they're still close enough.

In the end I was able to spend a good deal of time observing. That cloud seem to rise out of the ground got to a fair height and took off to the north east leaving me with rather spectacular skies until mist rolled in around the same time the moon appeared.

Using both 30mm SV and 14mm XW I got pretty good views, with each in the same FOV in both ep's. Venus being so bright did wash M19 out a lil. Still it's always nice to see multiple objects in the same FOV. thanks for the heads up

David,

We're about to be clouded in here, I can hear Thor moaning to the west. I should of packed the scope away this morning, we might of had clear weather.

I hope it settles down for Mars, been meaning to image that lately... but I'm not sure if it's laziness or the visual side is taking over. Mind you it hasn't pasted my test for imaging of late.

Good Luck! with Venus & M19
