This is certainly a better attempt.

Remember that the planet is low in your sky and seeing is really going to hamper your efforts. Next year it will be higher in your sky.

Ensure your collimation is tight and adjust focus as often as you feel is necessary to make for sharp focus.

Keep trying, this is an improvement.

Yes that is an improvement. If you want to post your raw file somewhere I can see if there's more data in it than what you're getting out. Or, you can e-mail me at alphajuno43@gmail.com if that's easier. Since you mentioned the jet stream last time, the conditions may not be there for you. Practicing on the moon is good too when it's around. Then you can mess around with focus and collimation and get better feedback. I will usually run a file through registax out in the field to see what kind of a night it is. Sometimes it's better or worse than I think it is. Good luck.

Hi Harp,

It may help if you could list what equipment you used to take the image, my guess is that its from eyepiece projection? Although that could be pretty far off considering I dont know what scope, camera etc you are using.

Please list the set up and perhaps we can suggest where the problem lies. Also, how much capture time and fps if you are using a webcam, or the number of sub-exposures if using a DSLR for example.
