View Full Version here: : What did I just see?
Just now, while drift aligning with a 9mm eyepiece, a very small faint object slowly drifted across the field of view. At the time I was looking high on the meridian.
It seemed too slow for a satellite. :confuse2:

It still could be a satellite or a piece of space junK, the higher they are the slower they seem to go.
Some satellites can be upto 30,00kms high, and they don't have to be Geostationary either to be at that hight:)

What was the time of the observation?
How far from the zenith? Any idea of the approximate azimuth or cardinal direction?
I'd agree with Ron. It is probably a high orbit satellite.

I'm starting to realise there is a whole heap of weird stuff, floating round out there.
