A faint supernova remnant, not a common amateur target, but the neutron star is of interest to the professional.
I took the image with the primary purpose of locating the neutron star but unfortunately it is outside the field of view.:(
2 hrs red luminance, 1 hr R, 1 hr G, 1 hr B BRC-250.

An interesting X-ray image from NASA can be found at:

Good shot Steven, you've also picked up a lot of surrounding faint emission neb':D

Fantastic image..
What is the scale of your image compared with NASA X-ray one? Because I see some similarities and just wander if you actually have neutron star in the centreof your FOV

Thanks Bojan.
Despite the vague similarities between both images, each image is showing a different region of the SNR.
The optical region in my image is roughly centered on:
RA 16 hr 17.5 m, Dec -51 07.
The neutron star is located at RA 16 hr 13.8 m, Dec -50 55.
The FOV of my image is approximately 40 X 27 arc-minutes unfortunately not large enough to pick up the neutron star.
Thanks Carl.

Excellent work. You can see the crumpled paper look of the detail within the brighter nebula. Such a rarely imaged object yet such a nice one to image.

very nice steven, good star colors, subtle detail in the neb... nicely colored too, you make it all look too easy

Thanks Scott, Louie, David, Clive and Paul for your comments.
Scott your excellent image pointed me to this object.

I might have to stretch the image and print it out to find the exact centre.
It's not obvious if the neutron star is in the image.
