Loose C-Mount ring, DMK 41AU02 camera

I discovered tonight that the C-Mount on the front of my DMK 41AU02 camera is a bit loose, giving flexure. As this is my guide scope, it isn't a good thing.

Has anyone else had this happen with a TIS camera? I tried to tighten it, but it would not budge.

I've got Astrofest starting on Wednesday and this will prevent me from using the camera as a guider. :(

Whereabouts is it loose...on the connection to the camera or to the scope??

The threaded ring on the front of the camera shakes a bit. It is the one that has the spanner head and is threaded on the inside and outside, the outside being threaded into the camera body and thread locked in place, the inside being the C-Mount thread. It would seem that whatever the outside is threaded into inside the camera body is loose.

I haven't seen one of these cameras close up, but I should imagine that there will be a small mounting ring (like a collar) on the inside of the front of the camera with the corresponding thread to the outside thread of the C-mount. If there is, maybe that's worked loose somehow.

That is the weird part, that collar is loose but only side/side and up/down. There is no rotation. It is like whatever holds that collar in place has popped loose.

I'd crack it open Ric, assuming there are no warranty issues, and see. It won't be rocket science. It would mean a worry free Wednesday as well.

The camera is on its way back to Bintel, as both them and I are unable to figure this one out over the phone. There is a chance they will be able to return it to me at Astrofest.

The problem sounds deceivingly simple, but I'm stumped.

You'd think if could move side to side, and up/down, then you'd be able to rotate it. If it's held in by a pin, and it's broken, then maybe the pin being loose is somehow stopping it from rotating as well. Jamming it, effectively.
