Hi guys,

Boy the year's flying. I'm curious whether anyone has observed Saturn since the Sun ring plane crossing only a few days ago? If not we don't have much of a window.

Here's an extract from the yearbook

On the 10th the Sun passes through the ring plane rendering the rings invisible from Earth until after our ring passage next month (4th). If you wish to observe this rare event don’t delay. On the 10th Saturn isn’t setting until 2.5 hours after sunset – at month’s end this is down to 70 minutes.

Regards

Glenn

Glenn, when I get home in a week or so I'm going to have a go at this, but I'm not sure if it's even possible for me to get an angle on it.

cheers, Bird

I'm starting to forget what stars look like!

Glen,I had a quick last Tuesday at about 18:00 with it being low down and some smoke haze it looked like Jupiter, I couldn't see any sign of the rings at all but a couple of the moons where visible:thumbsup:
