Hi,

Tonight I shot my first Centaurus A with the new homemade
RA worm gear. (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=43091)

There was some clutch slippage tonight for the first time and
rather than investigate the cause midway through this set,
I just nudged it back on track. PEC was turned off halfway through.
CCD/ filters all have had a good clean too....no dust bunnies now :)

Nice image Steve, good to see the R.A. is working well after all your work on it. There is nothing like the reward of seeing DIY with good end results.

All the best.

Nice image, Steve, might need a bit more stretching (there's more detail in that pic), but it's a good go with the DIY!!:D:D

Ever thought of making your own mounts....sell them commercially...the "SteveMount":D:D

Very cool - I followed up your threads on the DIY section. You're a some serious machinist. Well done mate. Must be very rewarding when everything clicks together
