Hi guys.

After the lunar eclipse on Monday night, the clouds stayed away for long enough for me to capture some Mars avi's.

Unfortunately the seeing was not good (3/10), and by the time it started to improve, the clouds came at about 12:40.

The avi that produced this image was my best for the night, it also happened to be my last for the night. "Just one more avi" often gives me the best image :)

This was taken with the 5x powermate, and with the ToUcam pulled out as far as it would go to give a bigger image. I need to make an extension tube.

way to go Mike, Mars is very bright now isn't it. Certainly can't miss it even with a full moon.

Nice try Mike - looks like we'll get a break in the weather later this week, might be time to try once more...

Good shot Mike despite the seeing conditions, I can see the cloud banks over the Tharis region. Seems as you say that I captured the same area with my latest shot.
