Cricket...............boring, boring, boring!
The only game in the world that's played for five days and still ends up without a winner!!:P
I'd rather watch paint dry.:lol::lol:

I am not surprised about poor selection decisions if Ricky Ponting is having a say - he is a 'great' player but a very average captain / strategic thinker:eyepop:

Some things defy explanation...cricket in general and the Australian team in particular lately...

I quite often watch the cricket while waiting for paint to dry.

If you don't watch cricket (test match type not the pyjama game) especially when we a giving the poms a hiding you are un-Australian. So There.

Form, strategy and many other reasons for not giving Clarke a go. Ponting is an Ok Captain, not great. However he does not have as many tools to work with as say Waugh.

Our time in the sun is coming to an end and it will be another country to rule the roost for a while.

Cricket is a thinking persons game. Many people don't like it, those that don't usually like the shortened versions. Those of us that like the longer game love the tension and build up.

Think of the lawn at the MCG...think of a pair of tweezers...think of pulling out each blade of grass, one at a time until it's all nice 'n' neat and no grass remains. That's cricket. BORING.

Its the perpetual Groin-Strain thing they all seem to get that confuses me.
It would be almost impossible to get a strained groin from standing around aimlessly on a paddock for 5 days , so it must be something they do in their own time.

x2. There's a reason it's called "Test" cricket, it's a test - physically, mentally, tactically and for un-appreciating partners, a test of patience.

We mustn't forget that many think the same of astronomy "Who'd stand out in the cold all night trying to find tiny little things in the dark millions of miles away" :rolleyes:

I hit the jackpot and married someone who doesn't like (but can appreciate) either.:doh:
