Ha filter to view or photograph the night sky

Just a thought, if you are using a Ha filter to view or photograph the night sky, light pollution should not make any difference, is this true or have I got it wrong

lots of people image from heavily polluted sites using narrowband filters such as Ha, O111, etc

you are correct for all general purposes

You are correct, not much good for non-imaging viewing though, due to the small amount of light getting through the filter.....
