Hi All

I haven't been doing astrophotography for a while ... I've been getting back into terrestrial stuff instead with my new Canon 5D MkII. As the moon rose tonight though there was some cloud not far above the horizon so I decided to shoot off some images. This exposure is setup for the effect of the "cloud shine" ... for want of a better term ... rather than trying to capture detail of the moon ... Jupiter was kind enough to fit in frame also.

1/13th sec @ F4 ISO3200 RAW
Canon 5D MkII
Canon EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM @ 191mm
Manfrotto 055PRO tripod

Lovely shot Steve. I just got a glimpse of the moon and Jupiter before that set this morning. It would made a good photo had I had the camera ready or got up a little earlier...

Cheers Al ... I'm not an early riser so evening is the go for me ... plus we've been completely fogged out here over the last week or so in the mornings ... real pea soup fog like England.
