Hi Folks,

Following on the sucess of the previous public talks there are two more upcoming events at Monash in August that may be of interest to some

Date:

Topic: "The Milky Way"
Dr Michael Brown is a leading astronomer in the field of galaxy evolution, using telescopes and satellites to study how galaxies have grown over many billions of years. He has recently found that the very largest galaxies do not grow as rapidly as predicted by most theoreticians.

A debate Topic: Intelligent life is common in the Universe
Two experts on astrobiology will argue the topic using the latest information and theories about astronomy and the possibility of life existing in the Universe
