I bet you are glad you did not rush in here to see this.

Seeing was pretty average last night, but I finally capture the Bird Strike which can be seen vaguely at the top of the image. Ganymede is well shown too with plenty of detail. This is my first imaging session since June. Not what I had hoped for but still beggers cannot be choosers at present.

You can only do as best the conditions allow - I have plenty of images like this and much worse this year... Still a nice image though!

Glad to see you got some data Paul.

The seeing may have been a bit crook but thats not really the point, the structure of the Bird Strike is changing by the night so it will look a bit different next time you image it anyway.

I suppose the thing about this is that each night is a ounce off chance to image how the structure was on that night regardless of the seeing.

I am not a gambler but I would put money on you getting a rip snorter image of this very shortly.
