By my count this is the 25th night of 100% cloud cover in my neck of the woods. Rather than drink too much I thought I'd throw out a couple of things:
1-Why are Telescope shops only open during the day?
and
2- How many space-based foods (plants and animals accepted) can you think of?
I'll start. Star Anise. Sunfish. Moon Pie.
Im sure there are more but my astro-spuds need turning.

Sun Rice (If we're allowing brand names!)
Jupiter Log (Not sure if they still make them, was a health food bar)
Milky Way

Excellent!! Brand names are indeed permitted.
I considered Venus Fly Traps, but even at a stretch, no one would consider them food:sadeyes:
I don't know if they have them here but in the UK you can buy Galaxy Bars.
So "foreign muck" counts too.

I still think you'd sell more high-end telescopes if you had evening viewings. But then, I'm such a sucker for glass and metal, I just walk into a shop and say "Sell me stuff!":P

Do Milky Bars still exist? Remember the "Milky Bar Kid" anyone?

Sunnyboys? (I think only Victorians know the triangular-shaped frozen iceypole by this name http://www.sunnyboy.com.au/).

p.s. Can anyone correctly describe the shape of a Sunnyboy? A Quadhedron?

We NSW boys & girls also are fond of Sunnyboys, many a penny saved during summer school holidays to run down to the shops to score one. Their shape is a tetrahedron,.

Ah yes Sunnyboys
I got a "free" once, it had blue printing on the silver inside it:thumbsup:

tetrahedron :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Mental, we are sliding down a dangerous path here of going off-topic, reminiscing about more simpler times, school holidays, spending a bob (or 20c) at the local milk bar. Kids miss out on all that these days. Arrrh don't get me started.

David I remember that!! didn't you have to pull back a flap, or fully rip them open to reveal "free" printed on the inside? Struth, now your reactivating some brain cells at this end, mate.

Back on topic, wasn't/isn't there a brand of lady's razor blades called "Venus"?? (female IIS members, feel free to buzz in anytime on this one)

Eating razor blades is not something I did as a kid,. Each to their own, I suppose.

'Moon & stars', a variety of watermelon. Has a dark green skin with small & large bright yellow spots. Big & tasty. Hmmm, summer can't get here soon enough...

You got it ! You ripped it open.
We also had milk delivered to school, everyone got a small bottle at play lunch. I used to enjoy flicking the gold aluminium milk bottle caps across the school yard and risk the cane !
Imagine what would happen to a teacher who hit or caned a student today

mmm sunnyboys :).. you could present an empty coke bottle for the refund 20c and get 3 of them and a few lollies.

and when the shop owner put it in a crate out back you could go back
and retrieve it again and get another 3 .. and when he put it out back again 3 more ... who says the older generation couldn't possibly understand recycling :)
