Same. Looks like they dropped a database or something.:bashcomp:

My wife cannot get into two craft forums in the US - same problem. It must be more widespread.

Maybe the moderators got out of hand and just deleted all the posts!

(I think it's back now)

Working for me now. I've received that error at CN in the past, but it always comes right.

Potentially to do with load on the server at times, but I'd just be speculating :P

I've had a pile of SQL errors since late yesterday and not connecting properly? Anyone else?

According to my Houston-based boss there are a number of sustained Denial of Service-type and more sophisticated attacks aimed a various US servers.:mad2:
He's going mental as he can't send his usual 25 e-mails a day to me.:D

Last time they had these screw-ups, which was less than a year ago, I had to get a new bloody username to access the site :mad2:

Let's just give them time to fix the issue, whatever it is, without the negativity.

We'll all be glad when it comes back. I have a lot of friends at CN.

CN is one of my fav sites. I hope the sort it out soon.
No negativity at all. I was just surprised it was down.
I'm sure it will be up soon.

No more bad Karma please! Be positive...

What would we do if CN and IIS are off the air? :eyepop:

It's down for me too. Several hosts in the US have had threats of distributed denial of service attacks made if they don't pay up a ransom.

This is a note I received from my host for a website hosted in the US:

So Cloudynights might be the victim of that. Otherwise it could simply be a database error. Here's hoping they'll get back soon.

At about midnight every freetoair (nondigital) went down too, so since it was very moonlit, and there was no CN and nothing on TV (Nine (NBN3) is hopeless) there nothing for it but to head to bed.

So I guess I'd get a lot more sleep.
