View Full Version here: : Jupiter July 23
Had some excellent seeing last night for a while, not the right time to see the impact site but nonetheless Jupiter put on quite a show.
Here's part of the first image (red channel only so far), it's going to be tomorrow sometime before it's all done.
Note this image was aligned on the clouds, so Io, it's shadow, and Callisto are all blurred. This will be corrected in due course.
cheers, Bird
Fantastic detail, Anthony. I can't wait for the full colour.
One thing though. It looks a little over-exposed through the equatorial region on my screen.
Might just be my laptop, though:shrug:
Most laptop screens have that problem. I know my Dell is awful. This image data does use the full range up to white but it doesn't look overexposed here.

This one's going to be a corker when it's finished I reckon.
