Nice shots Al, I also like the first one.
Here are a couple on the short list... the dandelion puff sequence was some of the best I've taken I think.

I second Carl. Keep 'em coming. I enjoy looking at 'em.
I like the unusual view of the dandelion with the front of the seed puff out of focus. Looks bizarre! A little more depth of field to get the whole puff sharp would've been brilliant.
I like No 2, Trevor, the view up the gum.

Here is the full sequence of the dandelion, plus an animation I meant to do a long time ago... it is a bit small but It is as big as I can get it and post it as well :). Actually it might be beter to see the animation in its glory by cycling through the pics in the browser.
Hope you like it

If you had the whole puff in focus, you would not see the structure of the seeds... thare is compromise in all that we do... unless you are Octane or Bird .

Yeah that is a more "normal" shot.:) As I said I liked the shot with the core sharp probably because it's different. You could crop the centre out of it as a mystery photo for a guessing competition.

Lovely! Now if you were to run those images through CZM or an equivalent you should get the increased depth of field I was talking about;) (without sharpening up the background).

A beautiful gallery of photos Al – very pleasing to the eye. Can I “borrow” one as a surrogate entry! I promise that if it wins, I’ll pass on full credit to you!
Cheers
