this i my first attempt at the lagoon nebula. taken tonight (19/07/2009)through cannon 450 D and SW ED 80 on eq6 pro at 19* 60 sec, 1* 50 sec, 12* 20 sec, total of 25 mins. would of got more data but dew washed me out. i think i still think i need more practice at the processing.

Very nice first attempt at M8 Les, well framed and tracking looks good.
Longer subs will of course bring out more detail.

Les,
Good work. Much, much better than my first attempt at M8 which ended up with greens instead of blues through an unmodified camera.
Loads more exposure will help you with this.

Your guiding and focus are certainly much better on this second batch. Well done.

Quite nice images Les. This being quite a faint but big nebula the main improvement can be made by taking longer exposures and more of them. You must have data to work with and this is the only way to achieve this.
Keep at it, I look forward to more images from you.

thanks. i too thought i was a little bit red too, but it can be fixed. i just need more of a guidance on polar alignment maybe then i mite be able to get longer shot ( or just by a auto guider that mite help??). thanks for the comments. it makes you want to get better at it.
