Good job with just athe camera

Good start.. to wet the appetite for more :-)
If you play a bit with curves, you will pull out much greater number of stars which are now below dark level..
Also, try to go in Manual mode and open the aperture to the maximum (5.6 I think?) . This will enable recording even greater number of stars.. And yes, save images in RAW format.. jpg is lossy (information-wise).

Then try to stack a number or frames.. you will be surprised how much can be done without telescope, just with camera on tripod.
