I know, yet another of these. But DSO's seem to go in seasons, 3 months ago Eta Carinae was all the rage, now its seems its Sagittarius, so here is a widefield with a tiny Triffid and Lagoon thrown in, taken on a Canon 1000D, 6*3m subs, with 6*darks, piggybacked on Orion ED80

I quite like this Duncan - you've captured a nice piece of sky with plenty of detail. It looks like you've moved the black point up a lot so the sky is really black. I think it would look more natural if you backed this off a bit.

The problem appears to be when i do the processing on my laptop then post it on here, i do the work on my laptop, and it looks spot on,better than here, and when i view it on here (a 42" screen) it looks completely different.
Thanks for the feedback Peter, its appreciated
Yes, I've often lived to regret remarks I've made about other people's pics from my laptop in the backyard at night. Things look completely different on a big desktop LCD later.
For "developing" pics, its probably more important to just get used to something you use a lot, rather than finding any one right solution. Bit like monitors for audio work....
