wow, I am salivating, but I only just bought my first telescope, so I don't think its going to get funding approval from my CFO. Its definitely a great price for a good scope. I looked at one of these when considering my first scope, but at brand new price, was way out of my range.

Does anybody have comments on options for guiding with the EQ6 mount? I gather from other threads that it's possible to fit up the Argo encoders to an EQ6 but I've not been able to work out if the hand controller on this model has the facility for either an Argo or laptop (hooked to a guide camera) to adjust the mount. None of the various write ups I've read mention a guide port or similar.
I've been pondering getting an EQ6-Pro but I get the impression that hanging a 12" Skywatcher tube off one is marginal at best (especially if I then want to add a guide scope etc) so if I could guide this setup and work out how to get it to Qld it could be ideal.

I think the easiest way to guide would be to add the upgrade kit such as this one:

James I'd considered that but it then becomes a spend of $2650 + freight etc. I could have a new Black Diamond on an EQ6-pro for $3,199 http://telescope.com.au/Home/tabid/247/CategoryID/853/List/0/catpageindex/2/Level/a/ProductID/7263/Default.aspx?SortField=Free3%2cUnit Cost .
The price on this gear is great (the above site has the Black Diamond on an EQ6 mount for $2699 so Peter's gear is a grand cheaper ignoring the extra's) but if I have to spend another $1k to guide and then still deal with getting a better camera etc it becomes a much more expensive option.

I really want to get my grubby little hands on that 16" dob so I am willing to drop the already fantastic price I put up for this great telescope to something that is way less then what it's worth.
New price is $1400:eyepop::eyepop::eyepop::eyepo p:

Hi Greg,
The only packaging that I do still have is the styrofoam packaging for the scope (most important one I guess). I use this for transporting the scope in my car.
I will take pictures of the equipment and extras today and will post it on here. Sorry I about not doing this earlier as I have had a busy week so have not had the chance to do so.
Cheers

I have written down in detail all the extras that are included with this scope as well as have taken, and attached pictures.
Eyepieces.
All the eyepieces are Plossl and 1.25"
The 25mm and 10mm multi-coated eyepieces came packaged with the Skywatcher telescope and are 52deg.
The 40mm, 20mm, 15mm and 6mm fully multi-coated eyepieces are BINTEL brand and details of these exact eyepieces can be found at their website in the link below. They are also all 52deg with the exception of the 40mm which is 45deg.

Barlow.
The 2x Barlow is BINTEL brand and details of it can be found here;
http://www.bintel.com.au/Barlows.html
Filters.
All filters are BINTEL brand and are 1.25" to suit above eyepieces. Further details can be found here;

Green #56
Orange #21
Blue #80A
Yellow #12
Red #23A
Moon Filter #ND 96 (0.9 density; 13% transmission)
Battery.
The EQ6 mount absolutely chews up the DD batteries required so I purchased a Diamec sealed rechargeable 12 V battery (DM12-7.2). It comes with both the connector to the telescope as well as the mains recharger. This battery will last you at least 10 long sessions before needing to be recharged.
Photos are all attached.
Telescope and Mount.
Skywatcher Explorer 250PX EQ6 as detailed in my initial post.
ALL FOR $1400
I have also attached a pic with the original Styrofoam packaging for those interested in transporting it.
Cheers
